Date Night for Parents: Balancing Romance and Parenthood
Many parents tell us that the demands of parenting can, at times, compete with the time and energy needed to attend to one another as adults. We often hear comments, such as, “We would love to have some time together, but it is so hard with children, our busy schedules and work that we are just too tired!” or, “We made a plan to have a date-night once a week, but something always seems to get in the way!”
Commitment to the marital or partner relationship is a crucial part of ensuring a harmonious family life. In order to support parents in keeping their strong connection to each other, Family Rhythms is pleased to offer an evening designed to discuss ways in which we, as parents, can build practices to stay connected. Come join us for dinner, ideas and support in the important, but challenging, job we undertake as parents. As an added “attraction”, we have invited our colleague, Nina Flood, who is a gifted massage therapist to share her expertise of techniques for “couples’ massage”.
Course taught jointly by:
Lee McKenzie, RN, MSN, MA and Michael McKenzie, MD,
Co-Founders, Family Rhythms
and Nina Flood, LMT, Perfect Present Massage
